This program is part of GA’s Traditional One Day Tours. The tour can begin from Antigua Guatemala or Guatemala City depending where you are staying. It begins with a visit to el Cerro de La Cruz to have a magnificent view from Antigua, and then heading to the “Plaza Central” to see “The Cathedral”, “San Francisco Church”, “La Merced”, “Calle del Arco”, “Museo del Jade”, “Casa Santo Domingo”. In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the town of Aguascalientes which is well known for its colorful and nice handicrafts. This tour is all you need to see the highlights of this beautiful city and can be modified to include other activities like a visit to a Coffee Plantation, elaboration of your own handicrafts and others. 

Tour Itinerary:

08:00 AM: Transfer from Guatemala City to Antigua Guatemala. (If staying in Antigua Guatemala the departure will be at 9:00 a.m.)

09:00 AM: Upon arrival visit to “Cerro de la Cruz”, where you can appreciate all the beauty of this colonial city. Transfer to the main plaza of Antigua Guatemala.

10:15 AM: Visit to the most important and significant attractions of the city including Antigua’s most beautiful churches, monasteries, and important monuments.

01:00 PM: Time to have lunch in one of the various and exquisite restaurants of the city.

02:15 PM: Visit to San Antonio Aguascalientes and Ciudad Vieja.

05:00 PM: Transfers back to your Hotel in Antigua or Guatemala City.
